Sea Lion's Garden-

So where do you take a kid who hates the water? SeaWorld of course.
We had such a terrific time and got to see a ton of great shows and even got a great two for one deal on Quinn's gift. Joining us were Grandma and Grandpa (great child relievers), Aunt Amy and Uncle Phil with their adorables Jacob and Mena, and Cousin Meagan and Tim with their little Beth.
My favorites: seeing Cirque Del A Mer, Sea Lions Tonight (A Must see if you can) and getting to touch the Bat Rays. I don't know why but they are so neat to pet.
It was also great to get to travel down with my cousin Megan and her daughter Beth (we met up with her husband Tim, who had to go down earlier for some business stuff).
We had a fun visit and it is so great to see all the husbands get along and really enjoy each others company. Glad we chose to go here again.

Next Generation


We all had an excellent time. It was so great to see so much family get together and share. Amy did a great job and seeing the Apple tree with so many names was so awesome. Can't wait till the next one, there is talk of it being in Florida.

Love the ease of it all.
This is the start off of the first Elison (LaMar Family) reunion. It was a fun start seeing my brother-in-law Phil and cousin Sharon working at the grill. It was then a rush off to help decorate and get supplies for the diner.

DutchLand

On the way down I decided we hd to take the coast line following the 101 hwy so that I could visit Solvang. This is a city in Southern California that is made to look like a little Dutch Village. As a child I can remember stopping here and really having a good time, of course I think we always stopped for breakfast and I remember it being a lot cooler in temp. This was our first encounter of the deadly heat of this trip, but we had a great stop and a wonderful lunch so I still think it was worth it.

Not a water baby

So most of you have heard the horrors of our bath time, but I still held out hope that my lil'one would come to love the water as much as me especially after visiting a beautiful California Beach. No such luck. But at least he doesn't mind sitting on the sand while mommy goes and swims.
And that's just what I did. It was so great; I had forgotten how much I love getting out there and braving the waves. Thankfully we had the beach as a relief from the 112 degrees in Hemet, but man was that sand hot.
It was also a ton of fun seeing my sister's and cousins kids from the East Coast be able to get out there and enjoy it too. These are the two littlest: Miss Mena (who loved to play in the sand) and Miss Valencia (who loved to eat the sand)



Even though we did have a bit of a scare; let this be a lesson to all- when a child gets lost at the beach you need to go to the lifegaurds. Luckily she was one smart cookie and did just what she was supposed to and found the nearest one and they found us.
Overall a great time and definitely worth the trip out.

This is the story:
We traveled down to So. Cal for a Family Reunion of my Dad's family that my oldest sister put together. On the way down we stopped in Medford to stay with cousins,and San Jose to see Aunts and Uncles. Then afterwards we went to Arizona to see our dearest old nieghbors from Utah and their little girl Avery, traveled back to San Jose to another set of Aunt and Uncle and then back through Medford. Thats it in a nut shell next comes the pictures, but it may be over time because man have I got a dirty house again.
