I can't put my hands down. . .

We were getting ready to go to the dog park to wear out some of our very active puppy's energy and I knew I needed to keep him warm so. . .
My Dad and I got this outfit in Utah and I thought it would be perfect, unfortunately it is still a little too big.
So we had to change him into something a little less bulky.
At the dog park we had a great time; Quinn slept the whole time in his sling and Ame tried to chase a whippet and turned down the advances of a very sweet 8 month old Rotti, and Ryan and I got in some excercise.
Training for her continues, but over all she is doing better. She likes to watch the show Dog Whisperer with me. Cesar is my hero, totally wish I had his abilities. Well his and Duff from Ace of Cakes (Freakin' amazing !)

First (Full) Day at Church

Our little boy made it through all three meetings yesterday. He slept through most of it, but even when he was awake he wasn't that fussy, the picture is afterwards when he was ready to eat and wasn't getting it fast enough. Even though he doesn't have any dapper suits yet, I think he is pretty dang cute. And next week is his blessing in sacarament meeting, can't wait to see the outfit his Aunt Emily is sending us.

Bath Time

These are some pictures of our bath time. Ryan and I have worked out a pretty good system and now we are using the chair my mom got us for the tub, but in our sink. Luckily the sink also has a shower sprayer. Can't believe he is growing so fast soon he won't fit.

Icky visitors

While cleaning I noticed this guy in our screen to our glass door. Observant dog that she is Ame didn't notice this guy till I got him to move even with me pointing him out over and over again to her. Then she was fascinated with him. I had to wait until Ryan got home to get rid of him.

Recouping after a hard week

This last week started very well. I got up, got laundry done, went walking with a friend and our babies, etc. Then I woke up Tues. running a very bad fever that lasted for two days. Finally running a hundred and two point eight temp I went to the doctor. What did I find, I had mastitist. This is a very! painful problem with my milkglands. Luckily with anitbiotics and lots of feeding time I am doing much better. Admitedly, with feedings every two hours I hit some exhaustion induced depression, but now I am doing much better and I am working with Quinn to get better feedings rather than more feedings.
Luckily I am very blessed with two great guys that were very good to me while I was sick.
Here are some things that happened this last week coming up.

For my mom

My mom has requested that she get some pictures of me with my son. I have held out, well mainly for the vainity reason. Rarely do I feel even close to cute enough to have my pictue taken and the other times I am exposed and feeding my son. So here are the few my husband has been able to sneak in. Remember I am still only two weeks in the healing process. Happily, I tried on my old clothes the other day and I almost fit, YEAH!!

Going Kosher

This last week we had Quinn's two week check-up. And our poor little boy joined the ranks of the "kosher". I had to step out of the room while Ryan stayed by his side. This was because it was his wish as father to have it done. I feel this was an important decision to go with because he needed to be able to call some shots as Quinn's dad, and also well I am a girl-what can I say about the experience. For a while now I have talked to many men and all have agreed with Ryan on the importance of having it done. There were quite a few moms in the mix saying the same. What they didn't tell me was the great need for the mother's nerves to have it done in the hospital. Waiting two weeks is not very smart. We didn't choose to wait so much as our ped. went on vacation the day after Quinn was born and so we didn't think it was a problem to wait. But after two weeks you get used to seeing your little one look a certain way, and they have gotten use to living a certain way, and well over all there are no nurses there to give help like in the hospital. The first diaper change was the worst. Slowly we are getting better, and Ryan and his little boy our having some good bonding time. Lessoned learned!

Turtle Time

When I was little my brother went through a major TMNT phase, but that was when they actually said Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles instead of just the intials. Now I can see the wonderfulness of the turtle. Little boys and turtles are sooo cute. This is Quinn with his new night light. The shell projects constellations on the walls in different colors. I love it, but right now there we are having to wait for a nursery to have the space to put it out.
Frogs are also becoming a fave, but the turtle is out ranking in the toy dept.

Finally Caught a Smile

I finally was able to get this silly monkey boy to hold still long enough to catch his beautiful smile. I love it when he smiles and laughs in his sleep. Most of the time I have realized that I am to busy holding the little guy to put him down to capture it on film. But guess what that's my mother's right kicking in. Time flies by to fast not to enjoy the time I get to hold him.
