What I have really been up to

Okay so I haven't been really busy, or trying to recoup yada yada.
The truth is I have started rereading the Harry Potter Books, really just the last three. It started because I saw the movie for the fifth one and knew there was a ton missing so I decided to read it over and see how much. I can't believe how much of the cool and important stuff they left out of the movie. But my one good thing is that it helps me read to Quinn and I have gotten my little brother in law into them too.

Independence Day

These guys kept the show rolling!

Gotta root for the catcher- even though his stats were really bad!

Okay I know it was almost a week ago, but we are still trying to recoup.
We had a great day; enjoying the outdoors. Our 4th started with a late morning in, and a trip to the dog park. Then we watched Independence Day and BarBQed (?) trout and chicken. Then we all piled into the Suburban and traveled down for some good all American Baseball. The Beavers played Tacoma, winning 8-3. After the game they had Fireworks, which my son soundly slept through, and came home.
We did have our own show the night before, which Quinn also slept through.
How blessed I feel to live in such a great country. I am so thankful for the lives of those wonderful people who have contributed to making this Nation great.

How could I forget?

I almost forgot to show the sea lions. One of the best shows we saw at Sea World was the Sea Lions Tonight. THis is where they make fun of all the other shows, but in a fun way. THe opening guy is hysterical, he actually my sister and I crying it was so funny. Definitely a must see.

Avery's BDay

Here is our favorite AZ girl turning one! Her Birthday was actually later, but they were going to Houston to celebrate with all their family and wanted a test run. Ashlyn's mom made her dress which was way cute, she didn't attack the cake like most babies and had a great time with all the other little kids. Ashlyn made the cake and had the great idea of Pin The Candle one the CupCake which I helped with, didn't we do a great job?.

Quick Trip to AZ

On our travels we decided to bop over to Arizona for a quick visit to the Hursts our dear and wonderful neighbors from Utah. We unfortunately arrived to early to stay with them in their new home, but I don't think their beautiful daughter Avery (who just turned one) minded sharing her bedroom with Quinn.Of course he did share his binky with her. She did mind sharing her Mom though. And while there they took us to this great place that has actually been shown by the guy from Food Network, way cool! It is Chinese Mexican Food- wierd I know but actually very tasty.
Thanks for the place to stay, we had a great time! Miss you guys a Ton!

Don't know why this is sideways??
